About CICS
Almighty Allah created this beautiful universe and gave mankind the ability to enjoy
its beauty. There are unfortunate brothers and sisters around us with physical
and mental disabilities living in worlds of darkness and silence. We have orphans
and destitute children with no means of livelihood. It is the responsibility of all to bring
those less privileged to the mainstream of society. With this sense of responsibility,
a group of young men with idea and vision for care and welfare of the orphan and
handicapped came forward and established Calicut Islamic Cultural Society in 1977
fully committed to the educational, social, economic and moral advancement and
rehabilitation of the weaker sections of the society. The society is recognized by the
Government of India, the Kerala State Government and the Central Wakf Council.
The main campus of the society is at Sneha Nagar, Kolathara, Calicut with an extensive
area of about 12 acres of land 10 kms away from Calicut city. The Society has
another campus at MG Nagar, Mathara in Olavanna Panchayath about 8 kms from the
city centre.
